St. Cecelia's Music Society has been in existence since 1883, serving as both a center for musical entertainment and a source of musical education. Concerts by local and nationally renowned performers take place throughout the year on many instruments and in many styles, from piano jazz to classical string quartets. The society has many musical education programs for local students of all ages in both voice and instrumental music. It is located near downtown, just blocks from the Grand Rapids Children's Museum and the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
