One of the largest community theaters in the country, the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre provides locals and visitors with a selection of live performances of classical musicals, such as "Oklahoma!", dramas, like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", comedies, as in "The Odd Couple", and children's plays, like "Miss Nelson is Missing!". Its School of Theatre Arts offers local children and adults a full array of acting, dance and singing classes and one-day workshops on aspects of theater productions like lighting design and stage combat. Its renovated theater, the Meijer Majestic Theatre, is downtown near the Grand Rapids Children's Museum and the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
