Outdoor displays of plants and sculpture by world-renowned artists fills the more than 30 acres of the Frekerick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, which also provides visitors with a series of soothing concerts and gardening lessons. Comfortable benches, quiet streams and small ponds are interspersed amongst areas like the Victorian Garden and Woodland Shade Garden, providing a tranquil atmosphere for wanderers. In order to grow exotic plants the gardens include an indoor conservatory, holding hundreds of species of tropical plants; and an outdoor Children's Garden area provides youngsters a place to explore with all their senses. The gardens are situated east of Grand Rapids, near the Grand Rapids Golf Club.
