decent food

everything is so mechanical. I like to have a small place like this show some flare. Steaks are blah. It is a little dirty. Especially bathrooms. The sports bar side is nice, newer, nice to watch sporting events.

Great drink specials BAD service

I really enjoy the drink specials on the bar side of the restaurant, but the service was horrible. The bartenders are friendly but the waitresses are unfriendly and rude. We made a complaint to the owner about the bad service and we were told to "just not come back if we dont like the service!" That to me was very unprofessional and inconsiderate especially because we just dropped $75 for our group. I would not recommend this bar to anyone I would suggest Florentines right down the street they are much friendlier there.

The service was good. The food was ok but avoid the steak fries unless you like alot of unnecessary seasoning. It was hard to taste the fry through the seasoning.

Best ribs in town! (and economically priced)

The cuisine at the 44th Bistro is excellent. My wife and I go out to eat a few times a month, and we generally fancy the Bistro for dinner. My wife loves the variety of pasta's, but I myself, like most men, favor my meats and steaks. Now, I normally wouldn't even bother to take the time to write a review like this, however, I felt called to praise the 'BBQ ribs'. By far the best I've ever had (questioned the server: apparently there steamed for about three hours, then 'grilled to perfection'), and at a far lower price than those found at chain restaurants -- such as Applebee's or Friday's.

I had went to the bistro with a group of friends. it had great food, it had a nice friendly atomosphere. The service was fabulous. I really enjoyed eating the prime rib. It was good till the last bite. The owner stopped by, and visted our table, and asked about how our meal was. He was really seeing that we were happy with our choices for dinner. He also said to mantain good prices, and quailty that they are only serving it, thrus. friday, sat. and sunday.
