We recently went to this bar/restaurant on a recommendation of a friend. We went to the bar on a Saturday night after a Griffin's game downtown. We found only one table available, and it was in front of the entrance door. Needless to say it was very cold every time someone would enter or leave. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one came to wait on us at our table. We asked the party sitting next to us if we could get one of their menu's so we could get an idea of what food they offered and what we would order if anyone would take our order. It had been over a half an hour and I went up to the bar and asked if we could get some service, and she said sure. I returned to our table and about ten minutes later a waitress took our drink orders and our appetizer order. The pros: The restaurant has a very good wine list, beers and cocktails. The food we ordered was good and hot. The appetizer we shared was the Portebella mushrooms with a couple of dipping sauces, a spicy bbq and ranch dressing. It was good and the spicy bbq takes your breath away if you are not expecting it. We were not warned about the sauce. The food offered was mostly sandwiches and wraps. Our sandwiches and wraps were okay. We recommend the wrap combo with several dipping sauces included. The cons: The table near the doorway is very cold the night we were there. The bar and restaurant area was crowded and very smokey. There is no non-smoking section :( The service was the worse we had ever experienced. It took us a long time to order and receive our drinks and food. Overall the prices were slightly higher than what you would pay at a better restaurant, but it was good, though probably not enough though to offset the price, the ambience or the service. All in all I would not recommend this place to have a meal and a drink unless you like the dark, smokey bar scene with poor service.

I enjoy the atmosphere of this bar as well as the drinks. Great service as well. Close to downtown, this bar is in the top 5 of Grand Rapids!

The proprietors of this establishment frown upon impromptu kickboxing exhibitions. Will never go back again.

i love wine and bourbon - boy was in heaven - several of us went out and left three different places b/c they could not accomodate seating seven of us together, but Cambridge was perfect we could fit 8 of us in the booth - perfect - we all drink different stuff and this bar had every thing - i've never seen such a huge selection of liquor and wine except in a big city
